welcome to CMOS Student Group

Hello everyone, welcome to the Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society (CMOS) student group page.

This page is maintained by the CMOS student committee, the interface between the students and the CMOS governing council. The primary goal of the student committee is to bring the graduate and undergraduate students together from across Canada.

Among our goals are:

* To inform students of the benefits of being a student member of CMOS, and provide background information as required

* To encourage students to submit scientific, technical, and opinion articles for publication in both the CMOS Bulletin and Atmosphere-Ocean

* To arrange for student gatherings both at the national level (during the annual meetings) and on a local level throughout the year

* To make periodic recommendations to Council based on our findings of student needs and demands
