Publications Committee - Terms of Reference 1. To set policies on the content, style, format and related matters pertaining to CMOS publications. 2. To support the CMOS Executive and Council on Publications matters as required. 3. To recommend the appointment of Editors 4. To recommend publication subscription fees Committee Level: This is a Council-appointed Committee. Mode of Operation: The Committee shall meet at least annually, during the Congress of the CMOS, and at the call of the Chairperson. In the interim, business can be conducted by e-mail. Membership: The Publications Committee shall include the two Co- Editors for Atmosphere-Ocean (A-O), the Associate Editors for A-O, the Technical Editor for A-O, the editor for the CMOS Bulletin SCMO, the CMOS Webmaster and the Director of Publications. The Chairperson shall be elected by the members. The Secretary shall be the Director of Publications. The members solely associated with A-O shall form the A-O Editorial Board, functioning as a sub-committee. Report: The Committee will produce an annual report in accordance with Appendix III to the By-Laws. Approved by CMOS Council: September 23, 2004 minor updates: June 2006
