![]() Born in Stirling, Scotland and after training and work experience as a legal secretary emigrated to Canada in 1954. She worked as an Executive Secretary to the President of the Foundation Company of Canada and later to the Deputy Commissioner-General of EXPO ‘67 and Vice-President of Administration, McGill University. She joined the Public Service of Canada in Ottawa in 1971 and served with the Deputy Minister of the newly established Department of the Environment. Later, she joined the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and worked under the Assistant Deputy Minister of the Ocean and Aquatic Sciences sector. Her career in the Atmospheric Environment Service followed where she served under no less than four Assistant Deputy Ministers. Dorothy retired from the government in 1992 and became involved in CMOS in 1994 where she serves as the Executive Secretary Emeritus. August 2001 |
